Today, MEDi, led by Dr. Tanya Beran, PhD, who took fourth place in the 2013 Innovation Academy and third place at the 2014 World Innovation Day was featured in Metro Calgary and on CTV News Calgary.
The Alberta Children’s Hospital has recently purchased 4 of the robots to help reduce the pain and stress children feel when they are receiving a needle. Dr. Beran and her team developed the programming for the humanoid robot.
